io Lama(..vo!!) - a complete guide to Lama's Hairstyling for spring 2015

Despite the total absence of posts on this Blog I have been quite prolific this year...

Well in this short story I had to draw a Lama, and well, as usual I got lost in drawing bullshit and stupid details.. I ended up drawing a variety of hairstyles for the poor beast, click below to open the whole article and tell me which one is your favorite!

Ps: how would you write down in letters the typical call of a Lama? does anyone know?

Don't bother the dwarf!

Dwarves are fun. They are the fantasy archetype of stubbornness, obstinacy, determination, rigor and materialism..and no matter how they try to be serious, they will always keep a strong comical factor...

and I mean.. they recall Yosemite Sam... Anyway I did this in two evenings. just to play with the fresh installed Manga Studio, that's perfect for inking!

Below there is also the gallery with some work in progress and all the color versions I tried..enjoy!

And remember..everyone has a little greedy obstinate surly dwarf inside...

...you just have to mess around the right things to awake him!

 Illustrazione realizzata per Manicomix... voleva essere una cosa simpatica...ma ora che la riguardo ha un non so che di grottesco... ... magari  la versione più bianca rende meglio...

...mah...ad ogni modo, Buon Natale!!

Ci ho provato a disegnarlo seriamente eh.. 

Ma la versione deformed era dietro l'angolo e alla fine ha vinto...

Versione più contrastata e con qualche texture:

Ebbene si... la partecipazione a Manicomix ha fatto si che rimettessi mano ai surgelati dopo almeno un anno di inattività...e beh... i tempi sono maturi per una storia che possa chiamarsi tale, ovvero la smetterò di paraculare beceramente come ho fatto fino ad oggi e cercherò di produrre qualcosa che abbia un inizio, uno svolgimento e una fine, tipo il temino delle elementari insomma eh.. quelle cose lì. Tra l'altro le idee le ho anche abbastanza chiare per non parlare della trama (cose grosse insomma) quindi che dire... appuntamento per la prossima settimana con il primo capitoletto....stay tuned!

...e questo che c'entra?

Macrachè?

In effetti, con tutta probabilità la caratteristica più vistosa di questo animale era la protuberanza che faceva assomigliare il suo muso a quello di un tapiro." Ovviamente si tratta di un mammifero estinto da un bel pezzo. Non deve aver avuto una vita facile!

La cosa più inquietante è che alle otto di sera mentre sto scrivendo gli ultimi appunti di lavoro mi ritrovo a disegnare la mia versione di questa bestia in un angoletto del foglio...della serie: signò la vita sarà pure tosta ma sicuro c'è chi è stato peggio!

Circe?

Matite e studi di inchiostratura digitale per la prima tavola di un racconto breve sul mito della Maga Circe che sto sviluppando all'interno di un laboratorio di fumetti... opinioni e critiche ben accette!!
